ADVOCACY: National Girls & Women in Sports Day was initiated by the Women's Sports Foundation to advocate for sports equity. NGWSD-MN builds public awareness of girls & women in sports by recognizing those who have worked to make Title IX a reality and achieve equity in sports at all levels.
MISSION: to advocate for Title IX, by celebrating and commemorating Minnesota individuals and organizations that inspire the participation of girls and women in sports.
VISION: to increase the awareness of Minnesota girls and women in sport through advocacy and recognition.
VALUES:
- INCLUSION: inclusive of all who support and positively impact girls and women in sports.
- ADVOCACY: serve as advocates of Title IX by recognizing those who support equity in sports.
- COLLABORATION: work with others supporting National Girls and Women in Sports Day across Minnesota and nationally.
- RESPONSIBILITY: professionally accountable for the work of the Minnesota Coalition of Women in Athletic Leadership.
