Breaking Barriers Award

This award is given to those who have successfully torn down barriers to provide opportunities in sports for girls & women of all races, ages & levels of ability.

Special Merit Award
This award recognizes individuals who have demonstrated the highest level of commitment to taking action that ensured opportunities for girls & women in sport.

Kwame McDonald Media Award
This award is presented to members of the media or Minnesota media outlets that have consistently provided coverage that both 
promotes & supports girls’ & women’s sports.

Wilma Rudolph Courage Award
This award is presented to girls & women who courageously overcame physical challenges in their success & pursuit of sports to help ensure future opportunities for girls & women, regardless of their physical abilities.

Marie Berg Education Award
This award is presented to an outstanding high school teacher or college instructor specializing in physical education, health or exercise science, kinesiology, or sport management who, throughout their career, has helped to expand opportunities in sport for girls & women in Minnesota.

Milestone Award
This award is given to a program that has or an individual who has achieved significant milestones in sports equity for girls & women in Minnesota. Honorees may have found success themselves over the course of their lifetime, or helped to create new opportunities which led to the success of other girls & women.

Dorothy McIntyre Legacy Award
This award recognizes individuals who have dedicated themselves to a lifetime of groundbreaking results in their career, positively impacting the advancement of sports equity for girls & women in Minnesota.
